Our Employment Law Practice is led by its four partners:
Glenn Briggs who, prior to founding our Firm in 2003, was an employment law partner with the Paul Hastings law firm and is a graduate of Boalt Hall School of Law;
Theresa Kading who was formerly with Paul Hastings and is a USC Law School graduate;
Sean Shahabi who was formerly with Sheppard Mullin and is a Harvard Law School graduate;
Beth Cheeseman Kearney who joined the firm from O’Melveny & Myers LLP and graduated from the University of Texas School of Law.
They are supported by our firm’s associates, all of whom were trained at top national law firms and attended top law schools.
Our employment lawyers represent employers in all aspects of labor and employment law, including discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, and wage and hour claims, both before government agencies and in state and federal courts. Our lawyers also have extensive wage and hour class action experience, including the defense of more than 50 class actions, as well as many individual lawsuits filed with administrative agencies and in state and federal courts. We also advise employers regarding legal and human resources issues that arise on a daily basis and our attorneys often speak on employment law issues at seminars for human resources and other professionals.
Our clients include Fortune 500 companies, national and regional financial institutions, national and regional retailers, technology companies, medical services providers, property management companies, pharmaceutical companies, restaurants, and start-up businesses.
Whether litigating or providing day to day advice, we are committed to immediately identifying the key issues that will determine the best strategy to achieve the best possible result. Before we run out and incur substantial fees, we thoroughly analyze those issues for the client, explain how they impact our recommended strategy, and listen to the goals of our client in proposing a recommended course of action.
